I noticed a while back that the clutch pushrod seal was leaking a bit. Not much but still annoying. It's a common thing with the Suzuki TL engine where the seal is kinda weak. The cause is that grease slings off the chain onto the pushrod where it collects dust and other crap and hardens. Everytime it's pushed in, it tears the seal. To prevent this, i replaced it with a pushrod seal of the Suzuki SV1000 which is tougher. Replacing it is a breeze. Just take the gear and clutch mechanism off remove the retainer plate (2 bolts). Then you can pull the seal out. Take care not to push the new seal too far in! It should sit flush to the casing. With the SV1000 seal, the original retainer plate needs to be dremeled a bit so it fits over the seal or you can buy the SV1000 retainer plate at the dealer ($7). I did the latter and bought the SV1000 retainer plate. To prevent it from tearing again (small chance but better safe then sorry), you can cover the rod with a straw or something else so that grease won't cover it again. The part numbers:
Suzuki SV 1000 Clutch pushrod seal: 09283-06008
Suzuki SV 1000 Retainer plate: 24751-06G00
